Healthy Start

Dr. Rebecca has been a certified Healthy Start provider since January 2018. The Healthy Start system uses a series of removable appliances to encourage proper tongue position and function. With correct oral posture and muscle function, maximum growth and development of the maxilla and mandible can be achieved. This guided development from an early age (as young as 2yrs old) ensures proper jaw growth for all of the permanent teeth to erupt without crowding. Most cases finish with straight teeth in a stable occlusion without the need for braces.

More importantly, with the increased forward and outward growth of the jaws, the child develops a Healthy Airway. This significantly decreases the risk of sleep disordered breathing and the health problems associated with it.
